The Jefferson City Symphony Orchestra performs on at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9 at Richardson Auditorium on Lincoln University’s campus. Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with pianist Peter Miyamoto, music from the Lord of the Dance, and other performances. Tickets for individual JCSO performances and season tickets may be purchased at the door on the evening of a concert. Season tickets may also be purchased from the Jefferson City Community Concerts Association. Tickets for JCCCA concerts are $15 for adults and $8 for students/children.

On Valentine’s weekend the Jefferson City Heart Ball is a black-tie event to benefit the American Heart Association. The Heart Ball includes both silent and live auctions as well as a specialty “Purse”onality auction featuring some of Jefferson City’s most influential women. We have the Krazy Kats band for live entertainment from 9 pm – 12 pm as well.
The Heart Ball supports American Heart Association-funded cardiovascular disease research to improve the lives of women, children and families in our community. In the past five years the American Heart Association has allocated almost $19 million for 142 studies at eight research institutions in Missouri. The Home Builders Association hosts the annual Home Show at the Firley YMCA with builders and sub-contractors to help you with your new construction and remodeling. The show is open from 3-8 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, cost is $2 per person.
