Growing up in Jefferson City, I never imagined one day I’d return home to practice dentistry in the very office where I once sat as a patient. Looking back, my journey into healthcare began much earlier than dental school.

As a child, I battled leukemia, and an oncology nurse named Terry showed me what compassionate healthcare looks like. She cared not only for me, but for my family, helping us feel safe and supported during one of the most difficult chapters of our lives. Her kindness inspired me to pursue a career where I could make that same difference for others.

My passion for dentistry grew through another mentor, my childhood dentist, Dr. Dan Teubner. After years as his patient, I had the opportunity to shadow him and witness the lifelong relationships he built with families throughout Mid-Missouri. I realized dentistry wasn’t just about restoring teeth. It was about earning trust and becoming someone patients looked forward to seeing.

Having spent much of my childhood in doctors’ offices, I understand how much a positive healthcare experience can shape a young person’s life. That’s one reason I especially enjoy caring for children. My hope is to help every child feel comfortable and confident at the dentist.

After graduating from Helias Catholic High School, I attended the University of Missouri before earning my dental degree from the UMKC School of Dentistry. In many ways, my career has come full circle. Today, I have the privilege of practicing alongside Dr. Glenn and Dr. Saxon Teubner, Dr. Dan’s sons, in our brand-new building in my hometown.

What I enjoy most about dentistry is that every day brings a new challenge. I love combining problem-solving and artistry to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Just as rewarding are the relationships built over time. It’s a privilege to care for multiple generations of the same family, educate patients about their oral health, and watch their confidence grow along the way.

Outside the office, my wife, Kayla, and I recently welcomed our son, and spending time together as a family is my favorite way to spend weekends. We also enjoy traveling, staying active, being outdoors, and, whenever we get the opportunity, skiing and scuba diving.

There’s something special about caring for friends, neighbors, former teachers, and families I’ve known for years. I don’t take that privilege for granted.
